I'm all for wasting time, but I find this thing confusing. Some of these questions seem very arbitrary, and it feels like there should be some sort of numerical weighting or something afterwards. Also, the whole thing seems incredibly narcissistic (as a blog post), and looks like some kind of standardized submission for a dating service, a feeling that is very hard to shake while filling it out, and which makes the whole thing decidedly awkward. And yet, who am I to walk away from a dare... :-)

1. Your Middle Name: Denver
2. Age: 23? *does the math* Yeah, 23. Well, for the next couple of weeks, anyway.
3. Single or Taken: Single
4. Favorite Movie: Maverick
5. Favorite Song: Diggin' Up Bones
6. Favorite Band/Artist: Nobuo Uematsu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobuo_Uematsu)
7. Dirty or Clean: Uber-Clean
8. Tattoos and/or Piercings: Lord no

HERE COMES THE FUN ... ... ...
Fun and I are about as divorced as two things get, and yet even I think that referring to filling out an on-line questionnaire as "FUN" is a bit of a stretch, especially when all in caps. Also, I disapprove of the author's redundant ellipses.

1. Do we know each other outside of Live Journal?
Yes. That is, unless Live Journal is like the Matrix, and we're all in it RIGHT NOW.

2. What's your philosophy on life?
Making mine last as long as possible.

3. Would you have my back in a fight?
Honestly, I have no idea. I certainly hope I would, but it wouldn't really matter if I did or not, because I haven't thrown a punch since elementary school. Hopefully I look scary enough that I'd be able to scare people away before an encounter escalated to fisticuffs.

4. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest?
Yes.

5. What is your favorite memory of us?
Filling this out? :-P Hrm, I dunno... I'm going to say chatting on ICQ during first year, back when I didn't hate instant messaging. We spent a lot of time on ICQ that first year. Also, I recall a lengthy spirited discussion on the desirability of immortality the makes the game of Personal Preference that you, I, and the twins played a close second.

6. Would you give me a kidney?
See my answer to question 2. :-P

7. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you:
You already know most anything that I'd be inclined to put here anyway. Man, the story-teller one would have been a good one, but I just told you about it a couple of days ago. Damn. Hrm, let's see, something new... well, this one's a little boring, but that makes it perfect, since I haven't bothered to tell most people: I used to collect piggy banks. I still have a fairly sizable collection, but I haven't added to it in years.

8. Would you take care of me when I'm sick?
Sure. I hope you like take-out. :-)

9. Can we get together and make a cake?
*shrug* Sure, why not? I see that going one of two ways. First, if I just let you make the cake and contribute only minimally, then everything would be fine. Or, if you try to direct me in the task, it'll end up in a horrible mess, and we'll argue the entire time. Hilarity!

10. Have you heard any rumors of me lately?
Someone recently told me that a female coworker was flirting with you. :-)

[Seperated into two entries to account for your 4000 character limit.]

Noone Wastes Time Typing Better Than Me II: The Quickening

11. Do you/have you talk(ed) crap about me?
Well, I'm not sure what "crap" entails. Also, I assume that this means behind your back, so I won't count the several times that I said "you suck!" to your face on Sunday. So, that aside, no-- men aren't much for gossiping.

12. Do you think I'm a good person?
Yes, comments on Robert Jordan's medical condition while standing outside Misu notwithstanding.

13. Would you drive across country with me?
Umm, I think I already have, more than once. Unless it means across THE country, in which case, yes. Although, to be fair, I love road trips, so that's pretty much a given.

14. Do you think I'm attractive?
Yes, and I really like the short hair.

15. If you could change anything about me, would you?
Of course. If I had that kind of power, I'd probably abuse the hell out of it. I'm a big flip-flopper, so you'd probably have orange eyes one day and racing stripes the next. Also, I'd probably install some kind of button at the base of your skull that I could press to have you automatically concede any argument. I can see it now...

Jordan: Hey, Vern, aren't I awesome?
Vern: What? No! In fact, you're not even--*PRESS*
...
Vern: What was I saying? I think we were talking about how awesome you are.
Jordan: It feels like we have this same conversation every day. :-)

16. What do you wear to sleep?
Boxers and a T-shirt.

17. Would you come over for no reason just to hang out?
Yes. In fact, hanging out is pretty much all I do for social recreation. That being said, I'd never pop in unannounced.

18. Would you go on a date with me if i asked you?
Yes, unless said date involved hang-gliding, sky-diving, etc.

19. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together?
Probably something from the list of terrifying things you want to do (see previous question), because you'd likely be able to guilt me into it. Presuming I didn't faint in the attempt, anyway.

20. Will you post this so I can fill it out for you?
Hrm. Out of a general disdain for chain letters, which this feels somewhat like, I'm going to have to say no. And I want to leave my owl story as the top post long enough so that everyone gets a chance to read it. Also, the majority of my readers are male, so I don't think I'd get much in the way of [non-creepy] replies. That being said, if you want to fill out a reply here, go nuts.

...but apparently, you do. To reassure you, I got this from Sabina, and only put it on my page because of the last question. She'd better answer. *pretends to glare westwards*

Given what we now know about your East-West sense of direction, are you sure you aren't pretending to glare eastward? :-)

I've never denied being narcissistic.
